SSVG Steenwijk '81 is a foundation which engages in the provision op sporting activities for the mentally disabled. It is a local foundation which operates in the city 'Steenwijk'.

Although there is a broad range of activities people can participate in, it is still necessary there is special attention for people who have a greater or lesser extend of mental disabilities.

The foundation, founded in 1980, had initially the goal to integrate the disabled sport within the mainstreamsport. The participants are of all ages.

The main activities of the SSVG are currently dancing, swimming and cycling. The volunteers of the foundation accompany the participants in these events.

The Tjoptjoppers have choosen the SSVG foundation of one of the charity goals to raise money for by riding the route66'.
